Reverend Lieketseng Lydia Majela

Brief info

Lieketseng Lydia Majela was born in Bloemfontein 41 years ago and grew up in the dusty streets of Botshabelo, Free State where she rose against all odds to become the woman that she is today. In 2010 she became a dedicated member of Women’s Manyano, and this is where she could trace her passion being manifested where she was called to God’s flock. She is passionate about helping the poor, the marginalised, women and children.

She holds a Degree in Marketing from Central University of Technology, then known as Technikon Free State and also completed a Certificate in Marketing Development Programme at the University of Free State. She is also an accredited Communication Practitioner. She is also an accomplished author and has published a book titled ‘The Inner Voice.’ The conception of the book was in her efforts to silence the burning desire within her until she had no other choice but to heed her call to preach in 2016 and then pursued this call by going to Seth Mokitimi Methodist Seminary in 2018 where she completed her three years of Formation and Degree in Theology.

Lydia is married to Teboho Majela and they have three children. She strives to live a well-balanced life. She recharges through constant intimate time with God, fellowshipping with family and friends and always finds herself refreshed after a few kilometres of jogging. She loves reading and has irrepressible appetite for writing, especially in addressing the issues of injustice.

Last but certainly not least, Lydia strongly believes in seeing people for who they are, not according to social status. This is simply because she wishes and prays not to ever miss Christ who is always in our midst.

“For I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me. Then the righteous will answer Him, Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you? And the King will answer them, truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me” _ Matthew 25: 35-40.

Peace.
