OVERVIEW
The Methodist Women’s Prayer and Service Union (MWP&SU)
known as Women’s Manyano is as an organisation of women within the Methodist Church of Southern Africa (MCSA). It is founded in Christian values. The operations of Women’s Manyano are guided by the organisation’s constitution and its members are subject to the discipline and authority of the MCSA.
At Calvary, Woman’s Manyano was launched in August 2015 and the membership has grown steadily over years.
All activities of the Women’s Manyano are aligned to the activities of the church. To fulfil its mandate, the activities are done under the following pillars:
- Spirituality
- Evangelism
- Justice and service
- Human economic development and empowerment
- Education and Christian formation
The Woman’s Manyano meets at church weekly on Thursdays at 6:30pm for prayer sessions and once a month on a Saturday at 12 noon so as to accommodate our senior citizens. Due to lockdown restrictions, we stay connected through prayer by sending weekly audio devotions on the WhatsApp group.
